The State of the World’s Plants and Fungi 2020 from Kew Gardens, with the collaboration of 200 scientists from 42 countries, published in early October, collects data such as 40% of the planet’s plants, 2 out of 5, threatened with extinction.
In 2019 alone, more than 1,900 new plant species and 1,800 fungi were named.
